Parkinson’s Foundation Receives $450,000 Gift from Terranova to Expand Centers of Excellence Network

PARKINSON’S FOUNDATION NEWS — February 6, 2018 — BY CAROLINA HENRIQUES Stephen Bittel, found and chairman of Terranova, has donated $450,000 to the Miami-based Parkinson’s Foundation to fund the expansion of its Centers of Excellence network.

Bittel also pledged to use his personal and professional networks to raise an additional $1 million for ongoing fellowship grants to encourage young scientists, clinicians and students to study Parkinson’s disease.

“We are extremely grateful for Stephen’s generous donation and his ongoing support of our mission,” John L. Lehr, the foundation’s CEO, said in a press release. “His contributions will have a significant impact on our community, as we continue to lead the charge in making life better for people with Parkinson’s and working toward a cure.”

PepsiCo sells Miami-Dade site to Terra, Terranova for $40M

SOUTH FLORIDA BUSINESS JOURNAL — January 2, 2018 — BY BRIAN BANDELL PepsiCo sold its Miami-Dade County offices and bottling plant for $40.27 million to a joint venture between local developers Terra and Terranova Corp.

The Business Journal reports in July that the beverage company (NYSE: PEP) listed the 23.7-acre site at 7777 NW 41 St. in Doral for sale. The listing agents were NAI Global’s Jay Olshonsky, Clifford Moskowitz and Kimberly Kocur, plus NAI Miami’s Gabriela Garcia-Menocal and Lucia Custer.

Terra and Terranova Corp. announced that they had formed 7777 Investment LLC to acquire the property from PespsiCo and sign a lease with the beverage company. While the developers didn’t disclose the length of the lease, they indicated it was not long term, and they plan to redevelop the property for up to 500,000 square feet of commercial space.

Expanded retail building opens on Lincoln Road with new tenants

SOUTH FLORIDA BUSINESS JOURNAL — November 3, 2017 — BY BRIAN BANDELL Terranova Corp. completed the renovation and expansion of a retail building on South Beach’s Lincoln Road, one of the nation’s most expensive shopping districts.

Miller Construction completed the $15 million project at 801 Lincoln Road, at the corner of Meridian Avenue. The three-story building totals 27,077 square feet. The construction of the Art Deco-style building required rerouting power, water, and sewer connections.

“Terranova’s vision for an exceptional design statement really brings new energy to the retail streetscape,” Miller Senior VP Brian Sudduth said. “We’re please to have helped them create a South Beach landmark.”
