MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA –December 4, 2014 –“Lincoln Road is the premier retail street in the Southeast U.S., and demand for space is virtually popping the ceiling off the top of these historic structures, literally,” says Stephen Bittel, chairman of Terranova Corp., whose properties on Lincoln Road are slated for vertical expansion in order to meet pent up demand.

Putting vision into action, Terranova is pursuing the redevelopment of its buildings into multi-story structures that will accommodate anchor stores and activate streets adjacent to Lincoln Road with new retail activity.
In its forthcoming vertical form, the 1654 building, which sits on the hard corner of Meridian Avenue north of Lincoln Road, will have new storefronts that will open to Lincoln Lane, activating that alleyway with new retail activity. The new structure will have a total over 23,000 square feet on three floors, including an 8,767 square foot third floor space with an outdoor seating option overlooking Lincoln Road.
On 723 Lincoln Lane, a building just north of Lincoln Road and abutting Macy’s on 17th Street, three new stories totaling close to 45,000 square feet will be built to accommodate an anchor store on the second and third floors and retail spaces ranging from 500 to 12,000 square on the ground floor.
The growth of the neighborhood into a world-class urban center needs to incorporate both commercial viability with the district’s existing historic beauty and charm, says Terranova executive vice president Mindy McIlroy, who is charged with selecting the best retailers for the new space.
“Expanding our buildings and opening up retail toward Lincoln Lane is part of the ongoing urban growth in this neighborhood, while it allows us to accommodate larger-scale retailers that are currently shut out of Lincoln Road,” McIlroy says. “We plan to do it in a way that combines the best of retail with the best of architectural design.”
In addition to developing these multi-story projects, Terranova has also redesigned the nearby 719-737 Lincoln Road building with brand new awnings and tenant signage, expected to be completed in January 2015.
Both Lincoln Lane projects have received approvals from the Miami Beach design board and are slated to break ground in 2015.

Terranova Signs Lime Fresh Mexican Grill First Location in Palm Beach County
/in Leasing, Press releasesMIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA –November 3, 2014 –Terranova Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of Lime Fresh Mexican Grill to Shadowwood Square in Boca Raton, a deal that marks the growing chain’s entry in Palm Beach County.
Lime Fresh has signed a 10-year lease for a 2,010 square foot end cap space at Shadowwood, a thriving center at 9789 Glades Road. The new Lime location in west Boca Raton is projected to open in Spring 2015.
“Lime is a fabulous addition to Shadowwood and to the west Boca market, which is very health conscious and trends conscious, yet doesn’t have all that many options for a quick, freshly-made restaurant meal,” said Terranova Commercial Associate India Turkell, who represented the landlord in the deal. “Lime’s menu and atmosphere will perfectly satisfy that demand.”
Launched in Miami Beach, Florida, by local restaurateur John Kunkel, Lime grew to 16 locations before it was bought in 2012 by national chain Ruby Tuesday. Today it counts 18 locations in Florida (Shadowwood will be its 19th), ten throughout the rest of the country and two in Chile, and continues to increase its popularity and market share in the fast-casual, fresh Mexican food sector.
In Shadowwood Square, Lime will join a roster of tenants that include Stein Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy and Regal Cinema.

Terranova Signs Lease with Goorin Bros on Lincoln Road
/in Leasing, Press releasesMIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA –October 28, 2014 –Terranova Corporation is pleased to announce it has signed a deal with Goorin Bros, a traditional custom hat boutique at 612 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Fla.
Goorin Bros has signed a lease for a 1,262 square foot store projected to open March 2015. The deal brings Goorin Bros first store to Florida as the century old, family owned brand brings back the personal and bespoke experience of buying hats as originally done when Cassel Goorin sold hats from his horse cart in 1895.
For over 119 years the Goorin Bros label has been creating and designing custom hats from coast to coast, dedicated to bring back the once personal and special experience of buying a hat. In many American communities, neighborhood hat shops existed as places for customers to gather and come together like the local tavern or barber shop. Goorin Bros has continued this welcoming and personal shopping experience in their 29 shops throughout the United States. That number will soon increase when Goorin adds a 30th location on Lincoln Road.
“Goorin Bros is making hat wearing relevant again and their vintage inspired designs and personal attention to customers is why we are excited to bring the Goorin Bros unique shopping experience to Lincoln Road,” said Terranova Executive Vice President Mindy McIlroy, who represented the landlord in the deal.
The family business, now in its fourth generation, has historically utilized vintage elements for inspiration while keeping up with stylish trends. Through the generations, the Goorin family found that hats are a symbol of style, status, and most importantly, personality. By bringing back Cassel’s secret designs and adding modern trends, Goorin Bros stands out as a company representing both authenticity and creativity.
Goorin Bros on Lincoln Road will complete a tenant line-up that includes other leading retailers such as Fossil, Melissa Shoes, Armani Jeans, Aldo, Aesop, Steve Madden, and Dylan’s Candy Bar.
