Terranova has embraced this health trend and signed a 7-year lease with new-to-market Matsuri Japanese Sushi Restaurant for 2,840 square feet at 230 Miracle Mile, formally occupied by 100 Montaditos. Matsuri is projected to open early Fall in the heart of Coral Gables, Miami’s unique boutique shopping district. This will be Matsuri’s first location in the United States.

There are plenty of sushi places around Miami that serve delicious sushi, so what is it about Matsuri that makes it different? It has all the perks of an all-you-can eat buffet but instead of getting up to choose your food, freshly prepared sushi floats by and you never have to leave your seat! Matsuri features revolving sushi bars in which the customers are seated and select their sushi directly off the bar with no need for a wait staff. This type of meal experience is catered to the fast paced customer providing no frills service and offering a much healthier alternative to fast food.

Matsuri has an extensive wine and cocktail menu that is sure to exemplify the popular happy hour scene in Coral Gables. An alternative to traditional beers and mixed drinks, Matsuri offers a variety of sake along with an extensive wine and cocktail list.

“Matsuri will benefit not only from the residents, but the high number of working professionals looking for a quick bite to eat or a cocktail during Coral Gables trendy happy hour scene,” says Terranova’s executive vice president Mindy McIlroy who represented the landlord in the deal. “Having Matsuri at the epicenter of Miracle Mile, just off Ponce de Leon Boulevard, visitors and residents will have a unique alternative to the traditional restaurants found in downtown Coral Gables.”

Matsuri is expected to blend into the trendy ambiance of Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and provide hungry shoppers, individuals, and working professionals with a quick bite of unforgettable Japanese cuisine between shopping and meetings.
